An exceedingly popular table vegetable that is unmatched for vitamin content and sweet flavor.  Imperator grows 9"-12" long. 1 1/2" diameter.  Rich, orange-red roots tapers to pointed tip, indistinct core.  Strong 16"-20" tops.  Sow Fall and Spring in the south, sow 1/4" deep and cover with light soil.  Keep moist until seeds sprout.  Adapts only to deep sandy or loamy soil.  Thinning is essential for all root crops.  Excellent for fall crop in North.  Harvesting:75-79 days, stores well.  Low in calories and high in Vitamin A
